Mom + Baby Must Haves | Fall 2021

Something that has become a real problem for families is the vast number of products available today. For ourselves, for our kids, for our homes, there are now a seemingly endless number of products on the market, all of course claiming to be the best for you. I love partnering with BabbleBoxx because it gives me the chance to test out and review a number of brands and products, and share my honest opinions with you. I hope you enjoy learning more about the brands below!

If there is one product category moms dominate it's bags. We just never can have enough. I never seem to leave the house with less than two bags, totes, or backpacks of some sort. Why do kids just need so much stuff all the time? The Puddle Jumper Duffel by Lug is a mama's dream! So. Many. Pockets! Talk about organization heaven! I also love that Lug is a brand brought to life by a mom, dad, and their two littles - livin' the dream!

My favorite features are the laptop and cell phone sleeves, I always like quick access to my phone for cute pics and videos. The exterior is also water resistant which, before I was a mom, I never considered important. But now, it is a must! You can use code KATIE20 for 20% off $50+ through 8/31 on their site.

I am so thrilled to have to chance to introduce you to this brand - NOLEO. NOLEO is a non-toxic, all in one, cleanser, rash cream, and lotion for babies. Their unique formula contains only 5 ingredients: Limewater, Sunflower Oil, Olive Oil, Glyceryl Stearate, and Beeswax. It is also EWG verified!

This natural diaper rash treatment is gentle and soothing to baby's skin. Simply apply to one of the organic cotton pads, wipe baby's bum, diaper and go! As we prioritize non-toxic products more and more in our household I can't tell you how excited I am to support this brand. Learn more here.

Another new-to-me brand is Vichy, and I am really excited about this brand! Both of the products I have received have just 11 ingredients and have fantastic EWG ratings. First I'll share about the LiftActiv 15% Pure Vitamin C Serum, it is dermatologist grade and comes highly recommended as an important step in your daily skin care routine. As a mom of two toddlers, I am not spending any time on makeup these days, however my skincare routine has always been a priority of mine. Putting on skincare is so soothing and definitely a form of self-care for me, plus I want to keep my skin looking as good as it can for as long as it can! Despite the sleepless nights and long days of motherhood!

The next product is the Vichy LiftActiv Supreme H.A. Wrinkle Corrector (EWG rating). This is a Hyaluronic Acid Serum that plumps skin and reduces wrinkles. I have not yet been using this for the full six weeks it can take to see results, but I am happy to have this as part of my skincare regime as the big 3-0 quickly approaches for me!

Both of my girls (as well as my husband and I) have very sensitive skin, so finding great bath products that work for everyone in my household can be a challenge. Baby Magic Cleansing Gel and Lotion are dermatologist tested and made without parabens, phthalates, dyes and sulfates. Unfortunately both do contain fragrance and retinyl palmitate, which affect the products' EWG scores. However, since the brand has committed to not using parabens, phthalates, dyes and sulfates, I am less concerned about the use of fragrance. One thing I have been learning on my non-toxic journey is that we cannot eliminate 100% of risk from our lives, so we do the best we can with the knowledge we have to find the products and ingredients that work best for our families on all fronts!

Raising two girls during these crazy times has definitely made me think hard about what I want to prioritize as a parent. Hoppy and Poppie PinkCheeks Gift Sets help parents effectively teach children emotional intelligence (and maybe help ourselves learn more at the same time!). Toddlers are not known for their ability to let you know exactly how they feel, which can lead to behavioral challenges. Teaching my girls to express the emotions they are experiencing is critically important. I especially love the idea behind the Patoo Blankie - each color represents an emotion, which children learn about in the 'What We Feel' board book.

Parents can sign up for the free Hoppy and Poppie PinkCheeks Starter Guide (delivered via email) full of useful tips for how to teach emotional intelligence to babies, toddlers, and preschoolers. You can also use code FRIEND10 for 10% off any purchase on their site.

The Lil Squish Jellyfish is a fun new product from a brand we are already big fans of - Baby Banana! The original Baby Banana Infant Toothbrush was actually one of the few must have items I repurchased when I had Georgia. Both my girls loved that thing! Now Georgia, even at 15 months old, is still putting every single thing into her mouth, so I am thankful to have this new toy for her to enjoy that is safe for exploring! This sensory rattle is made of food grade silicone and I just love the bright, fun colors! Babies as young as 3 months can enjoy this soft, soothing rattle.

I hope this was a helpful review for you and that you found something new to try for your family. I am super excited to have been introduced to several of these brands and they are now staples in my home. Please let me know if you have any questions about any of them, and comment below with your favorites!
