Another new-to-me brand is Vichy, and I am really excited about this brand! Both of the products I have received have just 11 ingredients and have fantastic EWG ratings. First I'll share about the LiftActiv 15% Pure Vitamin C Serum, it is dermatologist grade and comes highly recommended as an important step in your daily skin care routine. As a mom of two toddlers, I am not spending any time on makeup these days, however my skincare routine has always been a priority of mine. Putting on skincare is so soothing and definitely a form of self-care for me, plus I want to keep my skin looking as good as it can for as long as it can! Despite the sleepless nights and long days of motherhood!
The next product is the Vichy LiftActiv Supreme H.A. Wrinkle Corrector (EWG rating). This is a Hyaluronic Acid Serum that plumps skin and reduces wrinkles. I have not yet been using this for the full six weeks it can take to see results, but I am happy to have this as part of my skincare regime as the big 3-0 quickly approaches for me!
Both of my girls (as well as my husband and I) have very sensitive skin, so finding great bath products that work for everyone in my household can be a challenge. Baby Magic Cleansing Gel and Lotion are dermatologist tested and made without parabens, phthalates, dyes and sulfates. Unfortunately both do contain fragrance and retinyl palmitate, which affect the products' EWG scores. However, since the brand has committed to not using parabens, phthalates, dyes and sulfates, I am less concerned about the use of fragrance. One thing I have been learning on my non-toxic journey is that we cannot eliminate 100% of risk from our lives, so we do the best we can with the knowledge we have to find the products and ingredients that work best for our families on all fronts!
Raising two girls during these crazy times has definitely made me think hard about what I want to prioritize as a parent.
