Making professional looking shirts and accessories is so quick and easy with Cricut. From the comfort of your own home you can have a shirt that looks professionally made in minutes. I’m going to walk you through the steps of how to make this tee so you can feel confident when making your own!

First, gather your materials. You’ll need a Cricut Infusible Ink blank (I’m using the grey crew neck tee), Infusible Ink transfer sheets (I’m using black), Cricut Joy machine, and Cricut EasyPress 2.

In the Cricut Design Studio create your design. I simply found a font I liked and typed out two text boxes - ‘girl’ and ‘dad’. Then I created a rectangle, layered the ‘dad’ text on top and sliced the layers together. Once I was happy with my design and size choice, I made sure to mirror my design before cutting.

Place the transfer sheet on your mat and load it into the Cricut Joy. I love that you can purchase the Infusible Ink transfer sheets and other materials specifically pre-cut to fit the Cricut Joy machine. It’s one less step in the process to cut out a perfectly sized piece of material!

After your design is cut, trim the transfer sheet around your design and weed it, leaving only the part you want to transfer onto your shirt.

Use the Cricut Heat Guide to prepare your EasyPress 2 machine and follow the steps provided by Cricut for a successful transfer. Once everything cools off, remove your transfer sheet to reveal your final product!

I am always so impressed when I make an Infusible Ink project! I love how professional it looks and can’t believe I can make something like that from my dining room table!

My husband absolutely loved his shirt! He loves being a Girl Dad and will wear it proudly! Avery loved giving it to him too, it is so sweet to see how excited she gets to give others gifts. I have so many plans for future Infusible Ink projects, if you’re looking for something fun to add to your wish list this year, a Cricut machine is the gift that keeps on giving.
