Belated Birthday Weekend Staycation - Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek

Last month Brian, Avery and I had the pleasure of staying at the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek resort for a sort of belated birthday staycation. Typical me waited until June (my birthday month) to start thinking about how I wanted to celebrate and once I decided on a weekend staycation it was too late to book anything around my actual birthday. Turns out, stretching out your celebrations is even more fun!

Hilton invited us to stay and provided our room and meals on the property, however all opinions shared in this post are my honest thoughts and feelings.

I'm so excited to share more details from our stay with you! I shared a lot over on Instagram while we were there but it's great to be able to share more details in one place. We also vlogged that weekend, and that will be up soon!

If you aren't familiar with Disney property you probably have never even noticed the Bonnet Creek area. It's right inside all the magic but is tucked away enough that it feels completely calm and secluded! And Hilton recently became an official Walt Disney World Resort! Which means you get all of the Fastpass+ booking privileges, extra magic hours, transportation to the parks and more!

As soon as we got to our room we were blown away! The team had set up a little birthday surprise for me as well as some special treats for Avery! Not to mention the room was so spacious and well decorated. If you're staying there I'd highly highly recommend a room on a high floor. We were on the top floor and the view was stunning!

Our first night we were treated to dinner at the resort's signature restaurant, La Luce. To be completely honest I love eating out but fine dining isn't always my thing. But you guys - I was blown away! My mom was very generous (as usual) and watched Avery for us since we knew it'd be a long dinner and toddlers + sitting still for hours = a disaster. Brian and I enjoyed everything but especially the Margherita Pizze - the crust is made with ingredients straight from Italy! Our second favorite course was dessert. Talk about stunning! And their signature - the butterscotch pudding - was like nothing I've ever had. A whole lot more on this meal will be in the vlog, but I can not recommend it enough!

One last note on La Luce - the entire staff, from the host to the chef, were so kind, welcoming, and made us feel right at home! It did not go unnoticed!

The next day was all about the pool! You can see the view in the pic from our room, but there is a big zero-entry pool that is surrounded by a lazy river. We spent more hours there then we ever have at a pool before as a family. Avery loved being able to walk around in the water and we all enjoyed floating around the lazy river.

That evening we popped over to Magic Kingdom for a bit. We couldn't be that close and not go! Being locals, our priority was spending time at and enjoying the resort vs doing long park days, but a quick trip was so much fun!

Our last morning we ate breakfast at the resort's Harvest Bistro. They offer a lot of options with my favorite being the breakfast buffet! I love a good buffet! Typical me, the only picture I got was of their stellar donut display, ha! But they had fresh made omelettes, a waffle bar with allll the toppings, fresh fruit and yogurt parfaits, an entire mini buffet of gluten free options, and all your standard buffet items that were just delicious!

From there we headed back out to the pool for a while before we needed to check out. Avery cried when we had to leave, so did I but I kept my emotions internal, stuffed way down as all good adults do lol.

Can't wait for you to see even more in our vlog coming very soon! Thank you again to the team at Bonnet Creek for making our stay so magical!
